Mark Cavendish's Omega-Pharma-Quick Step teammate Jerome Pineau said he was "ashamed" after a spectator threw urine over the British cyclist.
Yesterday i was So proud about the support all the race but today I am ashamed!!
Pineau added: "(I am) ashamed when my friend Mark Cavendish tells me he has been whistled and even sprayed with urine on the course. It's scandalous".
The Democratic presidential candidate may also have shown his cards on his choice of running mate.
