The mother of murdered teenager Stephen Lawrence has told MPs on he home affairs select committee that she has lost all confidence in the police after claims that officers tried to smear her family.

The mother of Stephen Lawrence has called for a public inquiry into allegations that police tried to smear her family whilst investigating the racially motivated murder of her son.
Doreen Lawrence said the revelations made her feel "sick to the stomach."
