Dominic Grieve, Attorney General of England and Wales, has told ITV News that police should name a suspect to the media if an innocent person's name is being mentioned on social media websites in connection with the alleged crime.
He told UK Editor Lucy Manning: "If you read the guidelines it seems to me that that is precisely one of the instances that the police might conclude that it was right to explain who was under arrest. It’s clear that the public interest is provided for."
The Democratic presidential candidate may also have shown his cards on his choice of running mate.
The US president also shared a post on Twitter accusing Dr Anthony Fauci of misleading the public over hydroxychloroquine.
