In the Commons, recalled in special session to mark Thatcher's death, David Cameron led the tributes from MPs to "an extraordinary leader and an extraordinary woman".
Backbenchers stay away from Thatcher tributes
While many in the House of Commons spoke fondly of Baroness Thatcher today, some backbenchers refused even to attend the session claiming Parliament had been 'hijacked' for political gain.
