Detectives investigating ITV Granada Reports weather presenter Fred Talbot on suspicion of historic sexual offences at a Manchester school are trying to trace pupils from other schools after information received from the public following his arrest.
ITV weatherman Fred Talbot was arrested today by police investigating historic sex abuse allegations at a school.
The 63-year-old was held on suspicion of three counts of indecent assault and four counts of inciting a child to commit acts of gross indecency.
The alleged offences relate to his time as a teacher at Altrincham Grammar School for Boys in Trafford, Greater Manchester, between the early 1970s and early 1980s, where the four victims were pupils.
He remains in police custody for questioning.
The Democratic presidential candidate may also have shown his cards on his choice of running mate.
