Former Britpop rivals join forces for charity gig
Noel Gallagher and Damon Albarn's famous rivalry was put aside last night as the Britpop legends performed together for a cancer charity.
The Oasis and Blur guitarists, who publicly traded insults at the height of their fame, performed Blur's 1999 hit Tender, along with the band's guitarist Graham Coxon, The Jam legend Paul Weller on drums and US author Michael Horowitz.
Albarn once said: "I can't make up with Noel. Britpop would be over and heaven forbid that we'd ever admit we'd all grown up!"
However, last month the pair flaunted their new friendship at the Brit Awards, where they shared a table and hinted of a possible future collaboration.
