Corrie actor pleads not guilty

Coronation Street actor Michael Le Vell has pleaded not guilty to a series of alleged child sex offences at Manchester Crown Court. The star, who plays car mechanic Kevin Webster in the ITV soap, appeared under his real name of Michael Turner.

Coronation Street actor to go on trial in September

Coronation Street actor Michael Le Vell will stand trial in September after being accused of child sex offences. He made his first appearance today at Manchester Crown Court under his real name of Michael Turner.

He is charged with 19 offences including six counts of raping a child, six allegations of indecently assaulting a child and seven counts of sexual activity with a child.
