Today is the tenth anniversary of the death of ITV News reporter Terry Lloyd, who was killed in Iraq. Tonight, an ITV documentary shows his daughter Chelsey retrace his last steps and talk to the US commander who ordered the attack on Terry's convoy
The daughter of ITV war reporter Terry Lloyd has described her journey to the place in Iraq where her father was killed as a positive experience.
"It was actually quite a healing thing to do - very cathartic in many ways," Chelsey Lloyd told ITV News.
She also met the US commander who gave the order to fire.
"Many people assumed that I would hate him. That's absolutely not the case," she said.
ITV News presenter Mark Austin was across the border in Kuwait when the ITN crew came under attack.
"The meeting with the American commander was extraordinary," he said. "It was helpful for him and it was helpful for Chelsey."
