A 22-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murdering a 16-year-old schoolgirl on a bus in Birmingham has been sectioned. Police are urgently appealing for fellow passengers to come forward after the fatal stabbing of Christina Edkins.
Officers investigating the death of a 16-year-old girl are urging anyone who saw the man pictured on Thursday March 7 between 6am and 1pm in Birmingham to contact them.
The man, who is wearing a distinctive jacket with an image of a tiger on it, is believed to have been on buses in and around the Birmingham area between these times.
A 22 year-old manremains in custody on suspicion of murder. Police have confirmed they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
