Former Health Secretary Andrew Lansley gave his full support to under-fire NHS boss Sir David Nicholson as he arrived at Downing Street this morning.
He said: "I'm very clear that David Nicholson is somebody whose knowledge and commitment to the NHS is absolutely essential."
The Democratic presidential candidate may also have shown his cards on his choice of running mate.
