Vale of Glamorgan MP Alun Cairns has said that the Argentine foreign minister compared Britain's control of the Falkland Islands to Israeli settlers in the West Bank.
Mr Cairns said he found the comparison, which was made during a meeting of the all-party group on Argentina, "offensive" and "pretty outrageous".
The Democratic presidential candidate may also have shown his cards on his choice of running mate.
The US president also shared a post on Twitter accusing Dr Anthony Fauci of misleading the public over hydroxychloroquine.
