Gordon Strachan said the Scotland job is a "fantastic thing" and although they are bottom of their World Cup qualifying group they would "give it a go" in trying to qualify for the 2014 tournament in Brazil.
The Democratic presidential candidate may also have shown his cards on his choice of running mate.
