Freddie Mercury's Rolls-Royce sold for £74,600

A Rolls-Royce once driven by former Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury has been snapped up at auction for £74,600 - six times over its guide price.

The 1974 Silver Shadow only has 62,000 miles on the clock despite being used by the singer between 1979 and 1991. The car is heading to an unnamed Russian businessman who sealed the deal in a telephone bid.
