A British couple face losing their legs after they were crushed against a wall by a car during a New Year's Day walk in Bruges.
Simon Huxtable, 44, and Deborah Dale, 34, from Witney in Oxfordshire, were strolling through the picturesque Belgian city when they were hit by a drink-driver, police said.
Doctors treating the holidaymakers could be forced to amputate their legs following the collision which led to the arrest of a 22-year-old Belgian man.
