Rescue helicopter crashes in sea off Brazilian beach

A rescue helicopter crashed into the sea at Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro as it attempted to rescue a drowning swimmer.

Amateur footage captured by a Brazilian tourist showed the helicopter plummeting into the ocean. Fire department officials said the accident was caused by engine failure.

All four crew members and the swimmer survived with only minor injuries and were able to swim to shore minutes after the accident.
