Chavez swearing-in postponed
Venezuela will postpone the inauguration of President Hugo Chavez for a new term due to health problems, the government said. Chavez has not been heard from since surgery on December 11th in Cuba.
Hugo Chavez 'delicate' after cancer surgery
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has suffered more complications following complex cancer surgery in Cuba and remains in a "delicate" condition, the vice-president said.
Nicolas Maduro said in a televised statement broadcast after visiting the leader in hospital:
"President Chavez's state of health continues to be delicate, with complications that are being attended to in a process that is not without risks."
