Shocking anti-smoking advert
The Department of Health is launching an anti-smoking advert that shows a tumour growing from a cigarette. It marks a return to shock tactic adverts.
"Smokers play Russian roulette with every cigarette"
The new anti-smoking campaign is in response to statistics which show more than a third of smokers still think the health risks are greatly exaggerated.
Chief Medical Officer Professor Dame Sally Davies described the figures as "absolutely shocking" and that smokers play Russian roulette with every cigarette.
