The Department of Health is launching an anti-smoking advert that shows a tumour growing from a cigarette. It marks a return to shock tactic adverts.
Shock tactic anti-smoking ads are back
The new Department of Health campaign, featuring the following shock ad, is launched today.
The last graphic adverts in 2004 showed fatty deposits being squeezed from a smoker's artery and fat dripping from the end of cigarettes.
The last eight years have seen softer campaigns.
