The former US president George Bush Sr has been released from intensive care after being admitted to a hospital in Houston, Texas with bronchitis last month.
George Bush Snr likely to remain in hospital for 'a while'
The chief of staff at the hospital where George Bush Snr is being treated has said that the former US president is likely to remain in hospital for "a while".
"He is 88 years old, he had a terrible case of bronchitis which then triggered a series of complications," Jean Becker wrote in a statement.
"Is he sick? Yes. Does he plan on going anywhere soon? No. He has every intention of staying put.
"He would ask me to tell you to please 'put the harps back in the closet,'" she added.
