Britain remains on flood alert this afternoon as high winds and heavy rainfall sweep in from the South West.
Flood alerts rise to 62 across England and Wales
The Environment Agency currently has 12 flood warnings and 62 flood alerts in place across England and Wales.
The Southeast, Southwest and Wales remain the areas worst affected.

- Northeast - 3 flood alerts
- Northwest - 5 flood alerts
- Southeast - 3 flood warnings; 16 flood alerts
- Southwest - 8 flood warnings; 29 alerts
- Wales - 1 flood warning; 7 alerts
There are no severe flood warnings issued at this time.
