New legislation will explicitly state that it will be illegal for the established Churches of England and Wales to conduct same-sex marriages, Culture Secretary Maria Miller announced.

The government will announce its plans for same-sex marriage tomorrow, Maria Miller has confirmed after being called to answer an Urgent Question in the House of Commons.
During the debate, Conservative MP Edward Leigh criticised the Prime Minister's decision to announce on Friday that there should be same sex marriage in churches.
