ITV said that the I'm A Celebrity final had a peak audience of 10.6 million last night, which was a 47% share of TV viewers.
The final show averaged 9.8 million, which was up 200,000 viewers on the audience for last year's final.
Overall series 12 of the show averaged 9.2 million viewers, making it the fourth most watched series ever, up on last year's series average of 8.9 million viewers, ITV said.
The X Factor drew a peak audience of 8.9 million viewers last night, and averaged 8 million viewers across the 90 minute show.
ITV1 said it was the most watched channel in prime time last night by more than a million viewers.
