Man in court after hit and runs

Matthew Tvrdon, 31, appeared in court today charged with murder and 13 counts of attempted murder after a series of hit and runs in Cardiff. He was remanded in custody and will appear at Newport Crown Court tomorrow.

CPS: Defendant to appear in court on Monday

Catrin Evans, the Head of the Complex Casework Unit for the Crown Prosecution Service, has said:

I can now confirm that a thorough review of the evidence available at this point has led us to conclude that there is sufficient evidence to charge the 31-year-old man who has been under arrest since Friday with one count of murder, thirteen counts of attempted murder, four counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and one count of dangerous driving ...

Accordingly, South Wales Police have charged the defendant and he will appear before Cardiff Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning.
