Osborne denies ticket dispute
The Chancellor George Osborne paid a £189.50 upgrade after boarding a first class train carriage with a standard class ticket this afternoon. The Treasury said Mr Osborne was not aware of any row with a ticket officer.
Tweet from May alleges another Osborne ticket dispute
A Twitter user posted a message five months ago claiming they were on the same train as George Osborne when the Chancellor was involved in a similar incident over first and standard class tickets.
