Former detective chief inspector: 'Police are sending out conflicting messages'

The former detective chief inspector involved in the Sarah Payne case, has said that the police are sending out conflicting messages by releasing the suspect's image in April Jones case.

Martyn Underhill told Daybreak: "It is unusual and will lead to evidential and identification issues if they actually charge this man".
