Calls for former superintendent at South Yorkshire Police to resign

Sir Norman Bettison, now the Chief Constable of West Yorkshire Police, is facing calls for his resignation.

Trevor Hicks, whose two daughters died at Hillsborough has said; “If he is anything of a man, he will stand down and scurry up a drainpipe somewhere.”

The former superintendent at South Yorkshire Police was involved in the original Hillsborough investigation.

Sir Norman has always insisted he was not personally involved in impropriety.
