London Metropolitan University announced it is to commence urgent legal action against UKBA's decision to revoke its licence to sponsor international students.
'Systemic failures' found at LMU over foreign students
Immigration Minister Damian Green said "systemic failures" had been found at London Metropolitan University in relation to:
- Students studying without permission
- Concerns into the way foreign students are recruited
- Concerns about the attendance monitoring of foreign students
Mr Green's comments came in response to an urgent question in the House of Commons after it emerged two thousand students could be deported from the UK.
