The results from film director Tony Scott's autopsy could take six weeks and rumours he was diagnosed with brain cancer are "totally false", a spokesman for the Los Angeles Department of Coroner said.
He said: "I spoke with Mrs Scott yesterday and she said that (the rumours) was totally false."
The Democratic presidential candidate may also have shown his cards on his choice of running mate.
The US president also shared a post on Twitter accusing Dr Anthony Fauci of misleading the public over hydroxychloroquine.
