British taekwondo star goes for Olympic gold

A British teenager will go for taekwondo gold tonight after pulling off a shock victory over the world number one.

Jade Jones, 19, will fight in an Olympic final after being roared on through earlier rounds today by hundreds of supporters in her home town of Flint, North Wales.

London's ExCel was in also in full voice as she beat Tseng Li-Cheng of Chinese Taipei to make the final, guaranteeing at least a silver.

Jones's supporters braved the stifling heat and crammed into the Flint Sports and Social Club, where her fights were being shown on a big screen.
