Britain hit by flash flooding
Heavy rain and thunderstorms have caused a second day of flash flooding in some parts of Northern England and Central Scotland. The Met Office has an amber warning in place for North East England.
JCB driver rescued from rising floodwater
A JCB driver had to be rescued today in Newcastle as rising floodwaters swirled around him. He was safely taken onto a waiting raft by rescue teams.
