Britain hit by flash flooding
Heavy rain and thunderstorms have caused a second day of flash flooding in some parts of Northern England and Central Scotland. The Met Office has an amber warning in place for North East England.
Flash flooding hits Tyne and Wear
There has been heavy rain and flash floods in Tyneside and Wearside.
On the Newcastle and Gateshead Quayside, people had to run for shelter as the rain started pouring down.
