Mayor of London Boris Johnson watched Katherine Grainger and Anna Watkins win gold in the women's double sculls earlier today from inside the Tobacco Dock with members of the armed forces. He was visiting the accommodation in the old tobacco warehouse to see if conditions inside were adequate.
He was somewhat confused by the race, and the rules, and who was taking part, but cheered Team GB along merrily anyway.
