The Russian Foreign Ministry said today it would not back a Saudi-drafted resolution on Syria at the UN General Assembly, saying it was unbalanced and would not help end the violence in the country.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry said the draft placed "full responsibility" for what is happening in th country "solely on the Syrian authorities" and made no demands on the opposition.
The Democratic presidential candidate may also have shown his cards on his choice of running mate.
The US president also shared a post on Twitter accusing Dr Anthony Fauci of misleading the public over hydroxychloroquine.
