More rain expected after floods
Heavy rain has brought more flooding to parts of the UK over the last few days. Hebden Bridge has been among the areas hardest hit. More rain has been forecast for today
Flood waters surge through Hebden Bridge
West Yorkshire Fire Brigade were at the scene today to clear standing water from Burnley Road in Mytholmroyd and pump out the cellars of a mill.
Calderdale Council said Hebden Bridge library had to be evacuated, a number of roads were cordoned off and sandbags were stacked in flooding blackspots.
A spokesman for the council said: "A very heavy cloudburst above the hillside on Keighley Road has resulted in a large volume of surface water overwhelming drainage systems in Hebden Bridge."
