More than 4,200 Diamond Jubilee beacons have been lit across Britain and the world in celebration of the Queen's 60-year reign.

Local MP Sheryll Murray was testing the beacon at Torpoint in Cornwall ahead of the official Jubilee lighting at exactly 10.15pm tonight.
Torpoint are also hoping to break the record for the longest length of recorded bunting. Their efforts currently measure in at more than three miles and it's taken more than three days to put it up.
The Democratic presidential candidate may also have shown his cards on his choice of running mate.
