A judge in Florida has revoked bail for George Zimmerman, the neighbourhood watch captain charged with the second degree murder of unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin.

MSNBC is reporting that Florida prosecutors asked the judge to revoke bail after it emerged 28-year-old Zimmerman had a second passport he did not surrender to the court.

Prosecutors also alleged he misled the court regarding his finances, when $150,000 bail was granted on April 20.
