Fred West drama wins at Baftas

Some of the biggest stars of the small screen appeared on the red carpet at the TV Baftas. ITV1 drama Appropriate Adult picked up three of the biggest awards at the ceremony.

Dominic West elated at winning BAFTA for controversial Fred West role

Dominic West said he was delighted at winning the BAFTA for leading actor, especially against such a strong field. After the ceremony, he joked about having to make a speech, but he was elated at being chosen for the award.

The actor, who also starred in the acclaimed series 'The Wire', said the drama based on serial killer Fred West, was a high risk subject which attracted plenty of criticism. He said the fact that 'Appropriate Adult' won three awards on the night showed they'd made the right choice.
