In Sheffield, about 40 UK Uncut supporters have gathered outside Nick Clegg's constituency office. There was no sign of any Lib Dem workers. One of the organisers, David Kirkham, said:
"We know that street parties are going to be quite the thing this summer, for one reason or another.
We're here celebrating and partying for some great British institutions, namely, the welfare state, our NHS and the public sector life blood - things that were achieved by our ancestors in the post-war period."
The Democratic presidential candidate may also have shown his cards on his choice of running mate.
The US president also shared a post on Twitter accusing Dr Anthony Fauci of misleading the public over hydroxychloroquine.
