Children with epilepsy set to benefit from new NHS plans

350 epileptic children a year are set to benefit from new NHS plans to open three extra treatment centres around the UK.

When Antoni Spooner was seven he was regularly having 20 fits a day. His mother Nikki Featherstone told ITV News that one day, he had 100 fits, one after the other with barely a minute's gap between them.

But now, following an operation at Great Ormond Street Hospital, the teenager has made a marked improvement and is now a budding sportsman.
