55 dead in Syria suicide blasts
More than 55 people have been killed and 372 wounded after two major blasts in the Syrian capital Damascus, the country's interior ministry has announced. It says the blasts were caused by two suicide car bombers.
Syria foils attempted 1,200 kg car bomb
Syrian forces foiled an attempted suicide car bombing in the northern city of Aleppo, state television said, a day after two bombs in the capital killed at least 55 people.
The security forces killed the bomber, who had 1,200 kg of explosives in the car, it said.
