Supermarket chain Sainsbury's has announced total sales, including VAT, are up 6.8 per cent to £24,511 million.
Underlying profit before tax is also up 7.1 per cent to £712 million.
The Democratic presidential candidate may also have shown his cards on his choice of running mate.
