Beastie Boys rapper MCA, real name Adam Yauch, has died. He was 47. He had been treated for cancer but it is not clear if it is related to his death.

Adam Yauch, the Beastie Boys rapper known as MCA, announces that he has been diagnosed with cancer in this video from 2009.
Yauch dies today following surgery to treat a cancerous parotid gland and a lymph node. It is not yet known whether his death was related to cancer.
