The UK's 1,000 wealthiest people are now worth a record £414 billion, with Lakshmi Mittal topping the Rich List for the eighth year running.
Lakshmi Mittal tops Rich List despite fortune losses
Indian steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal has topped the Sunday Times Rich List despite seeing 27% wiped off the value of his family fortune in the last year.
The loss came after a dramatic drop in the share value of his principal business, the giant steel producer ArcelorMittal.
The Mittals have now been number one in the rich list continuously since 2005.
