Record number in 'food poverty'

The number of people relying on food banks to feed their family has increased dramatically in the past year. The Trussell Trust says 128,000 people are now using their food banks. 13 million people live below the poverty line in the UK.

Four-year-old tells ITV News: 'My belly grumbles' with hunger

Grandmother Diane, from Coventry, uses the Trussell Trust's food banks to help feed her large family. She told ITV News she makes pies and casseroles with the food given to her by the charity so it goes further and lasts longer.

Her granddaughter, four-year-old Rachel, can't hide her excitement when she talks about the food deliveries from the charity - but she also can't hide how hungry she gets at times.
