VAT changes for listed buildings
A new way that VAT is charged on renovation projects of listed buildings is under fire by Labour politicians and by members of The Church. Approved alterations to listed buildings will now be liable to 20% VAT.
Government to help places of worship recover VAT on repairs
The Financial Secretary to the Treasury Mark Hoban MP said there is money available through a Department for Culture, Media and Sport scheme, to help places of worship recover the VAT on repairs.
