250 soldiers from 3rd Battalion, The Yorkshire Regiment have paraded through Warminster ahead of their nine-month deployment to Afghanistan. Five soldiers from the same Battalion were killed in an explosion in the south of the country ten days ago.
Prince Andrew joined the soldiers and local dignitaries for a service at The Minster Church of St Denys, which began with the names of the dead men being read out and the playing of the Last Post.
The Democratic presidential candidate may also have shown his cards on his choice of running mate.
