Three men appear in court over Tup Tup shooting
Three men have appeared in court charged in connection with a drive-by shooting at a Newcastle club.
53-year-old John Henry Sayers and 35-year-old Michael Dixon are accused of conspiracy to murder.
In June 2015 shots were fired outside Tup Tup Palace, where a doorman was seriously injured.
Sayers and Dixon, both from Walker, were remanded in custody and will appear at Newcastle Crown Court on March 10.
28-year-old Russell Sturman from Gosforth is charged with assisting an offender in the commission of an offence.
He was granted conditional bail and will also appear at Newcastle Crown Court on March 10.
A 24-year old doorman at the club was shot and seriously injured.
Twelve men were arrested by police on Wednesday, following an operation to search 12 addresses across the east end of Newcastle and Gateshead.
It was part of an ongoing inquiry into the shooting on St Nicholas Street.
