Gateshead murder investigation: Man in court
A man has been charged over the death of 24-year-old Alice Ruggles.
Twenty-five-year old Trimaan Dhillon has been remanded in custody and will appear before magistrates in Newcastle tomorrow morning.

The woman who died in Gateshead yesterday has been formally identified as Alice Ruggles.
The 24-year-old lived on Rawlings Road, Gateshead, but is originally from Leicestershire.
Her mother, father, sister and two brothers have now released a statement paying tribute to Alice:
Alice saw the fun side of everything, she had an infectious personality and an incredible sense of humour.
She was kind, clever and beautiful; we are struggling to come to terms with the fact that she is not with us anymore.
She loved life, loved her friends and loved her job. She had so much to live for. Nothing, nothing can ever replace her.
A 25-year-old man has been arrested and remains in police custody at this time.
Officers still believe this to be an isolated incident and those involved are known to each other.
