Yorkshire Ripper 'moved to prison in Durham'
The serial killer Peter Sutcliffe - known as the Yorkshire Ripper - has been moved from Broadmoor psychiatric hospital to Category A Frankland jail in Durham, according to The Sun newspaper.
It follows a decision earlier this month by a mental health tribunal that the 70-year-old was sane enough to leave hospital.
Sutcliffe, who is originally from Bradford and now calls himself Peter Coonan, has spent 32 years inside the high-security institution in Berkshire after murdering 13 women and attempting to murder seven more between 1976 and 1981.
He will continue to have his mental health assessed in prison, after he was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia following his life sentence in 1981.
