Sam Allardyce has paid tribute to Sunderland supporters after departing the club to become England manager.
In his first press conference as England boss at St George's Park, Allardyce said:
I had a really good time at Sunderland. The fans were magnificent for me.
Hopefully the England fans will enjoy my time with them just as much as the Sunderland fans did last season.
